A Tribute to Iris: The real Iris, a sweet, energetic Siberian Husky, found her way home after a month-long misadventure in the summer of 2025. Hope, Patience, and She Came Home is a tribute to Iris and to the soul searching we experience when we have found light after grief.

It's a Calypso Festival! I look forward to finding these tiny, jazzy wild Calypso Orchids that bloom in abundance on the UAF trail system every summer.

I love to watch the annual growth cycle of three Siberian Crab Apple trees, and the plentiful bird feast that they produce, right outside my studio window.

Gems of the Auriol Trail

Kneel close to the ground with me, wherever you are, and drink in the tiny wonders we call wildflowers that are here for a brief moment in time.

There will always be a special place in my heart for all the dear, sweet irises.

In the summer of 2024, nasturtiums grew like crazy all over my garden with the most intense blooms I've ever seen. They begged to be painted!

I believe that every flower has a story to tell.
