About

From a single beautiful wildflower on the alpine tundra, to lush gardens in the peak of summer and the brilliant foliage in fall, actively being outdoors provides endless inspiration to me. I specialize in vibrant botanical paintings and drawings, starting with field sketches, photographs, careful observation and notes.

My formal training is in the fine arts (BFA, Colorado State University) and education (Post baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program, University of Alaska, Fairbanks). After retiring from a teaching career, I am thrilled to be back working as a studio artist.

Kneel close to the ground with me, wherever you are, and drink in the tiny wonders we call wildflowers that are here for a brief moment in time.
